Things you can Do This Summer Instead of Spending Money

With summer approaching here soon, you may find yourself stressing because of your current financial situation. Just keep in mind that you have plenty of things that you can do that will either cost very little money, or none at all. Read some of the tips below and hopefully they will provide you with enough entertainment to help you survive the summer without opening your wallet too often.

If you have some extra time this summer, use it to expand and learn about certain things instead of doing pointless activities that may cost you money. You could always go on YouTube and learn a new skill that you’ve always been curious about. This can include gardening, unless you are already an expert, gardening can be a great hobby that allows you to enjoy the outdoors and keep yourself busy. You can find deals on pots and plants from markets and other discounted places. If you would rather stay inside, you could always brush up on certain things that you haven’t been particularly great with, such as programs like excel or PhotoShop, or you could even practice organisation!

Now if you’re wanting to practice organisation or even think that some things in your life need some organising, use the summer to get started! The first thing that you can organise is your current living space, this will take up a lot of your time, especially if you haven’t done it in a while. You could also start organising your emails, you could have folders for bills, coupons, shopping, and anything else that you are having trouble keeping tracking off. Once you have organised these things in your life, you will most likely have some clothes that are in serious need of donating, so take the time to go through them and get rid of them!

When you are finished being organised or completely skipped those activities, there are some other things you can to take up some time if you are bored this summer. If you enjoy writing or just want to get your opinions out there, why not start a blog! You can pick out your layout and themes to whatever you feel like talking about. If you would rather try to make it outside, attend a market or another free event in your area that could still be really fun for you and your friends.

The last thing, which is my personal favourite, is to go through your photos and start making scrapbooks or collages, for yourself or your loved ones. Don’t forget that there is plenty of things that you can do that won’t cost too much money this summer, hopefully these ideas got you thinking about how you can do that.
