Planting flowers

Your kids may have engaged in this activity at school, and the best part is that you will spend very little. Perhaps the only thing you will buy to do this activity are the seeds. You will need some gardening equipment and if it’s not available you can improvise some. It will be a fun activity and one which helps in maintaining your home without spending a lot.

Engaging in family games and having movie nights

Holidays provide a golden opportunity for you and the family to engage in family games including board games. You can also watch a family movie together. all that you need is a bag of popcorn. You’ll spend some quality time together on a very small budget.

Writing

You can teach your children to engage in creative writing this holiday. You’ll not only be engaging them but will also be inspiring their creativity. All you need are the writing materials. You can help your children write some stories, real or imagined.

Biking in the neighborhood

You can set aside some days for this activity, where you make a few trips. Bike riding will help your kids burn off some calories and also pass some time. By the time you get home, everybody will be tired and want to take some time to rest.

Arts and crafts

Children love creative works, engaging them in a session where they make something, draw or play, provides them with much-needed fun.

Having picnics

Go to the park and have lunch together, carrying some packed food and drinks. Engage in family sports games and have fun with your children. You will have helped them enjoy something fun with a small budget.
